Seven things I will do
A Secretariat that listens, plans and follows through. These are my commitments to delegates and members.
Party Database
Establish a comprehensive database of members and executives, from branch to regional level, so that suitable persons can be identified promptly whenever opportunities arise.
Member Support Unit
Create a unit at the Regional Secretariat to receive, track and resolve concerns from the constituencies, referring them to the appropriate authorities, so that no member feels neglected.
Capacity Building
Hold training twice a year at the NDC Party School to clarify the roles of office holders and to communicate the Party’s ideology and positions on national issues.
Efficient Administration
Ensure that the Party’s administrative functions across the Region are carried out swiftly, transparently and diligently.
Stakeholder Engagement
Convene regular meetings between the Regional Executive Committee and key stakeholders, including Constituency Executive Committees, traditional authorities and the Council of Elders, and coordinate their activities.
One Regional Plan
Coordinate the departments of the Regional Executive Committee to develop a single, measurable plan for the Region.
Rotating Meetings
Propose to the Regional Executive Committee that its meetings rotate among the constituencies, so that Constituency and Branch Executives can take part in regional decisions.
